A Pitch For Love features Matt Meredith, who is torn between two women. Compounding their affairs of the heart is a major scandal involving the mayor that all entangles all three of them.
Matt is the Braxton Bugle’s lead reporter on an investigative series on the scandal involving the Braxton Emergency Shelter’s capital campaign; Robbyn Baxter is the advertising copywriter marketing the capital campaign; and Tiffany Underhill, the female lead in the movie “Drug Town” being filmed in Braxton is the primary source implicating the mayor.
Like a whip coming back to its handle, Matt keeps returning his attention to Robbyn. When Robbyn’s son, who is Matt’s star player on the Little League team he coaches, is hit in the head by a pitch after being distracted by a TV crew filming Tiffany, the incident ultimately unhinges Matt and Tiffany and hinges Matt and Robbyn. But the latter couple’s rocky relationship still isn’t cemented until mere hours before their scheduled wedding — with Tiffany helping Matt make a desperate, final pitch to land Robbyn as his bride.
