John Daniels is an outstanding criminal defense attorney who finally indulges his lifelong fantasy and reinvents himself as a rock singer known as Jack Daniels. He soon finds himself caught in the crossfire of handling two divergent careers plus a rocky new love relationship with the free-spirited Ashley Dupree. His struggle to find his true inner self reaches a ceasefire between his two dueling passions when he decides to leave his law practice behind and capitalize on his skyrocketing music career as a vocalist who sounds just like The Doors’ Jim Morrison come back to life. The ceasefire proves to be brief as the crime of the century lures him back to his hometown just as he and his band Coffeemate are ready to begin recording and touring. Daniels, in a tour de force of resolve, energy and complication, attempts to straddle the cross-country tightrope while juggling the demands of two starkly different worlds.

My second novel A Pitch for Love
being published next year!
A Pitch for Love features Matt Meredith, who is torn between two women. Compounding their affairs of the heart is a major scandal involving the mayor that all entangles all three of them. Matt is the Braxton Bugle’s lead reporter on an investigative series on the scandal involving the Braxton Emergency Shelter’s capital campaign; Robbyn Baxter is the advertising copywriter marketing the capital campaign; and Tiffany Underhill, the female lead in the movie “Drug Town” being filmed in Braxton, is the primary source implicating the mayor. Like a whip coming back to its handle, Matt keeps returning his attention to Robbyn. When Robbyn’s son, who is Matt’s star player on the Little League team he coaches, is hit in the head by a pitch after being distracted by a TV crew filming Tiffany, the incident ultimately unhinges Matt and Tiffany and hinges Matt and Robbyn. But the latter couple’s rocky relationship still isn’t cemented mere hours before their scheduled wedding — with Tiffany helping Matt make a desperate, final pitch to land Robbyn as his bride.
MY FULL-LENGTH PLAY ACCIDENTAL CHRISTMAS ROMANCE BEING PRODUCED AT MANHATTAN REPERTORY THEATRE ON DEC. 1 AT 6:30 & DEC. 2 AT 3 AND 6:30
My full-length comedy Accidental Christmas Romance is being personally directed by Manhattan Repertory Theatre artistic director Ken Wolf. The play is bursting with laughs, delightful characters and surprising plot twists … perfect entertainment for the holiday season.
My one-act plays Critical Mass, The Audible, and Sister Mary and the Pagan Babies received enthusiastic and appreciative audience response and very positive feedback from the artistic director and fellow playwrights after being produced by Manhattan Repertory Theatre and directed by Wolf on June 23 and June 24.
Wolf also directed my one-act play The Confession that was produced by MRT on March 31 and April 1 and my one-act play Clerical Matters that was produced by MRT on May 19 and 20.
Having a full-length play and five one-act plays produced in one year by the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in the heart of Broadway at 17-19 West 45h Street has been a prolific playwrighting adventure for me. I am grateful for all of Ken Wolf’s support and the audiences and professional actors who have warmly greeted my plays.
